AI Summarizer ("the Extension") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension collects, uses, and protects the information you provide when using it.

## Information We Collect

The Extension only processes the text content that you select or that is visible on the active web page to generate summaries using an AI service (Llama AI via Groq API). The Extension does **not** collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information, including your name, email address, or browsing history.

## How We Use Your Data

- The selected or visible text content is sent securely to a Groq API endpoint for AI summarization.
- No data is stored permanently on our servers.
- We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties.

## Data Security

We take reasonable measures to ensure your data is processed securely via Groq's infrastructure. The Extension does not retain your data beyond the immediate summarization request.

**Zero Data Retention (ZDR):** I have disabled data collection in the Groq console settings. This means inputs and outputs are not logged or stored by Groq. You can verify this by visiting your Groq console and enabling ZDR under Data Controls.

## Permissions

The Extension requires permissions to access the active web page content and to communicate with the Groq API in order to function.
